Thanksgiving Week

Ben and Janelle came to visit which was delightful since I wasn't able to go to their wedding in July. I really adore Janelle and loved how naturally she got along with my kids. She and Ben played with them and the kids just adored them in return.

We went down to Elkins for Thanksgiving dinner and to spend the rest of the week. After dinner we had an F.H.E. about being thankful for what we have.

Grandma and Grandpa Mac gave Jax and Talon their Christmas presents early- Wood building blocks- perfect gift for these two engineers. Jax liked to build creative tall towers and Talon liked to play puzzles with them and see which ones would fit in the box the way only HE envisioned.

We learned, "Yes, our boys love pie."

We played "Settlers," even teaching Mom and Dad McArthur how to play, and it was pretty fun to see how loopy we got past 11pm. All of us were pretty tired.

Christmas tree hunting was on the list of "to dos." It was pretty fun squeezing into the 4-runner, driving through the little river, and up to the trees. The snow made it Christmas like.

Jax and Talon love the circle window and we'd frequently find them there. Jaxon would go there to relax, while Talon would go there to pout.

  1. What a fun week! I love the circle window pictures and how Jax relaxed in it while Talon used it for pouting. I'm sure my boys would have done the same :)
